Module 6: Reviewing Peer Responses to Artwork

1.

2. When looking at Project #1 in Mike’s Blog, I found that some pictures would have been used better for different elements and themes, such as the ones used for pattern and line. In Amy’s Project #1, all of the pictures were taken at the Subway restaurant where she works, and it was interesting to see how each theme and element of art is shown in one setting. I would like to see a label for each picture in the gallery that shows exactly which theme and element is present in each image rather than just in the blog posting.

3. Mike did not do Project #2 so I do not have any comments. On the other hand, Amy’s Project #2 did not have any similar images used from what I chose. The reason could be that our interests are different from each other.

4. Amy’s Project #2 had the image of Frank M. Moore’s Niagara (1994-95), which I immediately have a connection with. I have visited Niagara Falls several times and being there and seeing it in person is always fascinating. The image in the artwork itself captures that similar fascinating feeling.

5. I find it valuable to read about what others think of your work since we are all learning together and also as students there is always room for improvement. Reading what others think about each other’s work can help improve for future projects and blog postings.

6. I have checked and read the comments made on my blog postings and I appreciate the comments given to me. I found it helpful that my blog postings are being enjoyed by my peers.
