Module 13 and 14 Project #4 Reflection

The theme of my art exhibit is Art from East Asia. The title that I have chosen for the exhibit is Far East Movement: Art from East Asia.

I selected this theme because I was always curious in seeing the similarities and differences in art from East Asian countries, such as China, Korea and Japan. The long history of these countries may have influenced each other’s culture, and so I want to further investigate this by selecting different arts from East Asia. I selected the title because it seems catchy and also identifies the theme of the exhibit.

My exhibit consists of different art from East Asia from different periods of time. It was difficult to find art from Korea from the past, and so I included one art that was modern that I thought was similar to one of the art made from China in the 1700. This shows how art across East Asia has influenced each other even through time. My exhibit would exactly resemble the layout design of the PowerPoint slides, just to make it clean and simple so the audience can focus on the art.
