Module 4: Art Making/Material Exploration #1: Exploring Value and The Subtractive Color Theory Blog

Creating the Value Scale and Color Wheel was very interesting. It allowed me to have a hands-on experience on what exactly we are learning in class, especially when drawing the Value Scale.

The media that I enjoyed working with the best is the acrylic paint. I enjoy mixing the paint and seeing the color combination that results. The Color Wheel that I made is not the best looking one for sure.

The most important discovery in the creation of these studies is when mixing the primary colors with each other and creating the secondary colors. It was difficult to create a perfect mixture because sometimes I used too much of either Blue or Yellow when creating the Green for example.

The most important information I learned from watching the videos is that Red and Blue are not really primary color, and instead cyan and magenta are the real primary colors.
